Travelling in a train at night on your own- solitiude cloaks the world and loneliness aches your soul.
The stars arent out tonight, the darkness covers all.
You wonder what you were even thinking, travelling so late at night.
You wanted to run away, but you went without a suitcase
blindly taking the last train and riding it to the city.
You are the only one in this carrige.
What were you even searching for
something bigger then yourself
something beautiful and true
lies that sing in your ears and a truth that screams out towards you.
You look out,and you see it. The lights of the city coming up
a smile graces your face.
You know that you are romanticising a dream that doesnt exist
running towards a mirage which will leave you dying in the middle of the desert.
But who cares, in this moment there is nothing but buildings and a night sky piercied by artifical lights.
Maybe you will regret this
but its better then living a life of what ifs, and not knowing.
The train stops
and you exit to a station filled with late night commuters.
